It’s likely that you have seen the commercials and advertisements for Hydroxycut all over the place. It seems that even as other diet supplements marketed and available around the same time as this product have been pulled from the shelves, Hydroxycut just won’t go away.

The original product was released with Ephedra, a weight loss ingredient that was pulled from all weight loss products after being linking to hear disease, and the other remaining ingredients show no proof of affecting weight loss. However, some researchers believe that the combination of all of the other ingredients produce results that outweigh any Hydroxycut side effects?

The Truth About Hydroxycut.

The main ingredient in the new formula is chromium polynicotinate, a form of chromium supplements. While some claim that chromium helps to increase lean muscle mass that will increase your metabolic rate and burn more calories, the claim is unproven and unsubstantiated in the medical industry. At the same time, there is no evidence to dispute that this Hydroxycut ingredient doesn’t produce the results promised or is harmful to health either.

The weight loss supplement also includes a compound referred to as “Hydroxagen Plus,” which is a combination of alpha lipoic acid, gymnema sylestre, glucomannan, and willow bark extract, along with garcina cambogia.

The compound of hardcore Hydroxycut also includes hydroxycitric acid, extracted from the rind of the brindle berry, a fruit also known as the Garcina Cambogia. While some studies show that this is effective in weight loss, others show that it offers no assistance and can even result in weight gain. This conflicting information does not seem to affect the popularity of Hydroxycut, however.

While gymnema sylvestre, derived from leaves of plants you can find in India, is an excellent treatment used for diabetes, there is no evidence to support that it will assist in weight loss, since it doesn’t actually block the sugar absorption by the body. Glucomannan is just a fiber, which can assist in curing constipation and in large quantities acts as a diuretic. While this may assist in weight loss to some extent, it also causes the loss of essential vitamins and fluids and is not a safe way to lose weight.

Hydroxycut also includes alpha lipoic acid, which can reduce the effects of diabetic neuropathy, or the degeneration of peripheral nerves, but it doesn’t have anything to do with weight loss. It is an antioxidant, so taking Hydroxycut could be a health booster in this sense. Willow bark extract is a pain reliever and has nothing to do with weight loss, either, considering that it doesn’t relieve hunger pains.

If anything, hardcore Hydroxycut users will find the product more beneficial as a laxative and an antioxidant than as a weight loss drug. In most Hydroxycut reviews, you’ll find that Hydroxycut side effects may outweigh the benefits, as the caffeine content equals that of six cups of coffee and, while offering an energy boost, may cause paranoia, irritability, lack of sleep, and even tremors.
