Noni Juice is the name for a juice extracted from Morinda cirtifolia (Latin), more commonly referred to as Great morinda, Indian mulberry, or Beach mulberry. Recently, it has also been referred to as Noni, Nono, Nonu, Ach, and Mengkudu, depending on the region and tongue.

With so many different names, this small juice producing fruit tree must have some properties that have made it such a popular substance. What sort of benefits are linked to the consumption of Noni juice, and are there any harmful side effects to worry about?

The Many Benefits of Noni Juice.

In China, Samoa, Tahiti, and Japan, various parts of the tree are used for tonics bearing medicinal properties that can help to contain fever, treat constipation and stomach pain, relieve respiratory problems, treat eye and skin problems, and even relieve problems in the throat and gums. In Malaysia, the leaves of the tree are used on the chest to relieve nausea, colic, and cough, much like eucolyptus from Australia.

In fact, one brand of Noni Juice seemed to have properties that prevented the growth of cancerous cells in rats, while other clinical observations show that noni can inhibit and reduce the growth of capillary vessels that sprout from the tissue of a human breast tumor and at high concentrations can even cause the rapid degeneration of existing ones.
